✨ I am a certified Energy Medicine practitioner trained through the Four Winds Society. I also hold a Reiki Level 1 attunement and am proficient in sound healing using tuning forks, drums and sound bowls. In addition to my training, I have learned much of what I practice through my own self-healing and inner work, from my many clients, through diverse teachings of world religions and esoteric wisdom and from the exquisite School of Life.
💫 Prior to my work in energy medicine, I spent 3 decades in academia in the field of public health. I hold Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Science (ScD) degrees from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and I was an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for 25 years. I was inspired to get into energy work because I believe in holistic health and the incorporation of mind, body and spirit for comprehensive healing. Also, upon working to re-balance my own energy field, I have learned that "dis-ease", including mental, emotional and physical problems, results from energetic imbalance. Through my practice, I have seen many instances of people clearing out energetic blockages to open up space for healing all manner of illness and imbalance in their lives.
⚡️ I am excited to provide support to people on their spiritual path through my Spiritual Mentorship program. Many people come to me feeling that "something is missing" in their lives, and I love to help them work through that. This is especially rewarding since it is something that I myself went through when making a career change after 25 years in the field of science. Also, I have found both personally and with my clients, that it is often difficult to find our “tribe” of people who can relate to what we are experiencing on our journey. This program provides support both individually and through group Zoom calls which connects you with other like-minded soul seekers.
🌟 Through this work, I will help you learn techniques for self-healing, which can transform many things in your life, including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenges. Some things that can cause these difficulties include stuck energy, past or current life trauma, energy blockages and ancestral patterns. I use a variety of modalities such as shamanic energy practices, sound healing, spiritual channeling and intuitive coaching to address these challenges.
❤️🩹 My philosophy of care is that we all have the ability to heal ourselves. I am first and foremost a "teacher", in that my work is to give you techniques for healing yourself. I am happy to be here to support your journey, however everything that we need to know is inside of us already. It is just a matter of tapping into it and remembering who we are. I am passionate about helping people find that healing pathway for themselves, no matter whether the issue is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
🌻 On a personal note, I am the mother of three amazing young men who I have raised on my own since the untimely passing of their wonderful father in 2015. I am also a parent to many fur babies, including 4 incredible dogs and 1 fascinating cat (my Jaguar). I love to be outdoors and most days you can find me walking with my dogs and splashing with them in a nearby river. I also relish the beach and ocean, nature, travel and learning about other cultures. I am a wisdom seeker who is often enrolled in a course on ancient teachings, self-healing, shadow work, or some other esoteric practice. I love meditation and reading, and am actively trying to get through the stacks and stacks of books by my bedside.
🌎 I have had many experiences throughout my life that have brought me here - including painful loss, trauma and redirection of purpose. However, I truly believe that our pain is our power and we can make the changes needed in our lives at any time, through courage, deep inner work and facing our shadows. Energy medicine has taught me that we always have the possibility to change our lives and situations, no matter what, and we can thereby go from our "fate" to our "destiny", which has limitless possibilities. Healing is a lifelong journey and I am here for my own healing along with yours!
